◯ Eligibility for Application
  • Tokyo Jurisdiction: Residents of Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, Ibaraki, Tochigi, and Gunma
  • Yokohama Jurisdiction: Residents of Kanagawa, Shizuoka, and Yamanashi
  • Applicants must have at least 20 days remaining before the departure date.
    • 　(Please prepare the required documents well in advance, as delays may occur if there are any deficiencies.)

  • Short-Term Visit (C-3-1, C-3-9: tourism, event participation, etc.)
  • General Business (C-3-4: business trips, etc.)
  • Short-Term Employment (C-4: performances, paid activities, etc.)
  • Study＆Language Training (D-2, D-4: limited to Japanese nationals)

◯ Fees
  • Tokyo jurisdiction: 16,500 yen per person (tax included)+visa application fee
  • Yokohama jurisdiction: 22,000 yen per person (tax included)+visa application fee
  • The visa processing fee (consular application fee) varies depending on your nationality.
    For details, please refer to the website of the consulate with jurisdiction. (Applicants with Japanese nationality are exempt.)
  • Additional charges may apply for incomplete documents, after-hours support, or urgent last-minute cases.
  • Please note that fees are non-refundable if the has decided to deny the visa application.
  • If the consulate does not accept the application at all at their reception, we will refund the full amount.

■Visa Application Process

  • Submit an application (send your personal information via email .
    *Our staff will response to you to cordinate the schedule.
  • Submit required documents in person at our office＆make payment.
    (credit card or bank transfer)
  • Visa application on your behalf
    (average review period: approx. 6–7 business days from submission to the consulate).
    *Duration may vary by individual.
  • Passport return
    You can collect your passport from our office approximately three days after the review is completed.
    Once the review is finished, we will visit the consulate to retrieve your passport.
    Please note, however, that depending on the consulate's appointment schdule, we may not be able to return your passport on the same day the review is completed.
◯ FAQ
  • Q. How long does the review process take?→ On average, 6-7 business days from the date the consulate accepts the documents. Passports are kept at the consulate during the review.
    Passports are usually returned about 3 days after review is completed. Delays may occur due to individual circumstances or incomplete documents.
    Please allow sufficient time when applying.
  • Q. It may take some time to obtain a Certificate of Employment.
    Can I submit my employee ID card or employment contract instead?    → No, substitutes are not accepted. You must submit a Certificate of Employment bearing the company’s official seal.
  • Q. What documents can I submit as proof of bank balance and salary?→ Please provide one of the following documents:
    ・A copy of your bankbook
    　(including the cover page and the page showing your account information)
    ・Bank transaction statement
    ・A printout/screenshot of your internet banking record
    ＊All documents must include a page showing the applicant’s English name, account number, and bank name.
  • Q. Can I apply without visiting the office in person?→ No. For strengthened identity verification, all documents must be submitted in person at our office.
  • Q. When can I visit the office?→ Weekdays 9:00–18:00 (excluding public holidays and 12:00–13:00).
    Visits are by appointment only. Please book in advance.

    Upon arrival on the 8th floor, please call extension (2852) to reach the visa section.
  • Q. If I apply for a multiple-entry visa, how long is it valid for?→ The final validity period of the visa is determined solely at the discretion of the consulate.
    Please note that even if you apply for a multiple-entry visa, the consulate may issue a single-entry visa depending on your circumstances.
  • Q. When is payment due?→ At the time of your office visit, either by credit card or by bank transfer (deadline: the day before the review is completed).
  • Q. Will I receive a refund if my visa is not approved?→ Once the consulate accepts your application, fees are non-refundable if the visa is ultimately not granted.
    Please note that even if you apply for a multiple-entry visa, the consulate may, at its sole discretion, issue a single-entry visa. In such cases, the fee difference is non-refundable.
    However, if the consulate does not accept the application at all, a full refund will be provided.
  • Q. When can I get my passport back?→ You can collect your passport from our office approximately three days after the review is completed.
    Once the review is finished, we will visit the consulate to retrieve your passport.
    ※Please note, however, that depending on the consulate's appointment schedule, we may not be able to return your passport on the same day the review is completed.

    During the visa examination process, your passport will be kept at the consulate and cannot be returned even if you need it temporarily.
    If you request the return of your passport before the examination is completed,your visa will note be issued.
    *Please make sure that you do not have any plans to travel abroad or apply for other visas that require your passport until the examination is finished.
  • Q. Can I apply while my residence card is under renewal?→ No. You can only apply once your renewal is completed.
    At least 3 months of validity from the application date is required.
